- In late 1975 while at Boot Camp we received shots all the time. However, this day ended with me having a severe reaction to the shots that day. I was having trouble breathing and was taken by ambulance to the base hospital. In the abulance I remember thinking I had better start breathing again, then I realized I didn't have to breath anymore. I felt great. I cannot describe the serenity. Spring 1975
I attended a Senior Party for Katy High School in Texas.
The class of 1975 with my boyfriend Bobby and another couple Harvey and I forget his dates name. My Parents were very strict NO Drinking. Of cource I had a few drinks. The party was fun, however I had the earliest curfew so we headed to my house. Now this is the strange OBE part.
I remember the Harvey pulling up to the front of my home to drop me off. I got out of the car (a Volkswagon Beetle) and walked up to the back gate, the front door entrance was used for company we kids (all 8 of us) used the back door. I was lifting the latch up to the back gate when suddenly I am sitting in a ditch. I look around and see lights and police - oh no I am in BIG TROUBLE. We were in an accident we had hit a telephone pole. Harvey suffered a broken nose, sadly his date was in the "DEATH SEAT" the front passenger seat, she suffered a broken jaw and hip and I am not sure what else. My boyfriend Bobby went through the windsheild but was only bruised and scratched up. I suffered an injury to my left knee and calf and a brain concussion with retrograde amnesia, (while my spirit went home), I sat in the ditch for 10 minutes according to reports stating
"Who am I, where am I?" I over and over.
We were taken to the hospital. I was so terrified of "The Wrath of Mom" that I was not concerned about my injuries. My parents came and took me home. I found out just a few years ago the during Graduation I was given a standing ovation as I limped to the stage and received my diploma. I was toally unaware of this, my focus was just getting up there. School was over and I had already enlisted in the Navy. I had 1 more summer and off I went in November 1975. Oddly 10 years after the accicent I was contacted by an Insurance Investigator trying to obtain information about the accident that evening. I was living California at the time and told the Investigator that I had no memory of the accident. He came out to California anyway and got angry at me for not remembering because I could not answer his questions.
I come from an Actively Physic family, I have seen ghosts and spirits I have experienced the Paranormal which I thought was NORMAL. My sisters and I used to play "Telepathy" games. I just knew things and I have had many premonitions, some were informative and sadly some were devastating. I have experienced many an OBE, I was having them as a child constantly, it was only in my 20's that I put a label to my experiences.
I have other experiences I would like to share over time.
Christmas Funnies
While living in Anaheim My friend Julie and I went shopping on "Black Friday". We had Angels on our side and found the first parking spot closest to the store!! Miracle in Buena Park. The silly part is that I locked my keys in the car, they were sitting on the drivers seat. Not only did I lock my keys in the car I locked my friend Julie in the car too! How can I lock my friend in the car? Well, she has a rare disease called Arthrogriposis, the nervous system short circuits and does not connect up with the muscles so they stiffen. Julie had very limited use of her arms. I went in the Mall and looked for a wire coat hanger..trying to explain it wasn't just my keys, that my friend was locked in the car. When I went back to the car, Julie had twisted her body into a pretzel and was able to unlock the door with her mouth...Julie is an Artist who draws with her mouth. She makes greeting cards and Christmas Cards. Truly talented, married to a normie (the term used to denote a person without a disability) and has two children, a boy and a girl... A Christmas Poem
Twas a week before Christmas,
I came home to my pad,
When I opened the door,
I knew my cat had been bad.
The tree was knocked over,
Ornaments were everywhere,
And the cat lay sleeping with nary a care.
I closed my eyes, slowly counting to nine
What will I do with that cat of mine?
I picked up the tree, set everything right
Guess what I came home to the very next night!?!?
I threw up my hands and said with a shout
Merry Christmas to all and put the cat OUT!

- Cody, thanks for sharing your experiences. It has made me realise more how this HAS changed my life so much and as I be more into my experience how it continues to do so. I guess to believe in after-life has been the most important and my connection to animals especially horses has been a stronghold in my life as they are consistent evidence of unconditional love which I have not always found from the human sort.
When reading your story I realise I have also had many OBE's that I perhaps have not always realised were OBE's and that I have for many years seen and communicated with spirits which is something I see as normal, as I have been able to all my life.
thankyou for your comments. that the Fijian in me! My nana looked fifty when she died at 90! Hope I follow in her footsteps that way.

During my grade school years I had many OBE's, they most often occured when I first went to bed. Lying in bed looking up at the ceiling, when in an instant I would feel so light and I was up to the ceiling, when I returned to my body it felt like I was under a huge rock, I felt so heavy. I would also have experiences of flying backwards in my rocking chair over land and water looking down... this was normal for me. However, I got quit a shock of a when on the News they were showing an ariel view of Iran/Iraq - I recognized one of the views in which I flew over in my rocking chair as a child...
As a child I knew things...but I thought everyone did, I am the oldest of 6 kids and all of us were active psychics as was my paternal grandmother. I gave my Aunt Cody, whom I am named after, a jolt. In grade school I went to visit my maternal Grandma and my Aunt. We were driving on a dirt road going to visit someone (don't remember who) when there was this loud snap come from the engine. I looked at her and said "your fan belt broke". We were not far from a gas station and my aunt pulled in. They took a look at the truck and fixed it. While they were tending the truck my Aunt came to me and asked me how in heavens name did I know that it was the fan belt? I don't know, it was the words that popped into my head at the moment of the snap sound. I have done this many times, I get "how did you... know?" I just know. I get visions, sound, spoken language and tactical sensations. It's just a normal occurance when these things happen - I do surprise myself alot - how did I know?? Cody

I would fall in the "other" category. I was given the honor of sharing in some of my brother's experience when he died in 1991. I have a lot of what I saw and heard written in a notebook. I have to re-type it and then add it to my page. Hopefully I will finish reasonably soon.
