- My NDE
- Had several OBE's at a young age. First one was at 18 or so. I had a horrible hangover from drinking the night before. I was in a half sleep state and felt like I was concious and asleep at the same time. I remember flying toward the stars. The stars began to get brighter and I felt that I was getting closer to them. I became frightened and told myself I needed to go back. I then remember feeling like I "plopped" back inside and I woke up, The second time I did this was in the same "dream" state. We had gotten up very early that morning and were busy for several hours. I went into my brothers room lay down on my back, listening to the conversation in the other room between my Aunt, Mom and Sister. I again felt myself leave my body and was looking at the ceiling, I thought it was pretty funny, to just be hovering there for awhile. I then "plopped" back into my body.
I suppose I should clarify a bit. After reading again it did seem a little cryptic. I was not drinking during either of these experiences. Although I had a horrendous hangover the first time.
I thought the second experience was funny (as in ha-ha) was because I was only an inch or so away from the ceiling itself. Looking at the textured ceiling with the little sparkles in it for some reason struck my funny bone. I have read many accounts of NDE/OBE's first of all out of curiousity and because I have had close family members pass including 2 siblings and a daughter who was 10 when she passed.
I am feeling lately that I would like to have that experience again, to play with it a little to see how I can travel as well.

I am planning on attending. I hope to publish a book by next year and it would be good to network with other experiencers and writers who need to talk about their NDE's. I can't seem to shut up about my NDE. It's almost embarrassing at times..…

This will be a fabulous conference. If you have never been, you have to go! The space is filled with energy and spirit, and hearing so many NDErs is sacred. For us, there is nothing better than an IANDS conference or retreat! Hope to see you there!

How did you feel afterwards. You said it was funny. Was it strange or funny to those you told --when you knew what they were doing?

The night of drinking --? Were you drinking that second time?
Were these events due to a beer/? high? Just clear this up for me --if you would to relieve suspicion to that possibility. This site is very 'open' and we do discuss many things here --all in honesty and to help others.
Were the feelings of the second event similar to the first? Try to explain alittle more --if you will.
