- Was swept away by an undertow as a grade school-aged child at the ocean in Oregon. Was eventually washed back in to shore, but while being dragged along the bottom by the undertow, realized I was helpless and felt very tranquil and un-panicked. Just worried a bit about how my family would take it, if I died. When washed back into shore like a rolling log, no one had even noticed I was gone. Funny to remember it so clearly after all these years!
