Having had an OBE, I read with interest your interview with Rollya James on Coast to Coast Radio. What I thought most compelling was when you addressed the Material’s position that NDEs are natural phenomena as opposed to spiritual experiences. You mentioned cases where folks who had been blind and deaf from birth, saw, and experienced sound.
What was particularly significant to me was that NDEs have been reported in antiquity. Plato told of a soldier, Er, apparently slain in battle having an NDE, then compelled to drink from the River of Forgetfulness. Many folks who have NDEs relate the same circumstance of forgetting. They were given higher truths during their NDE by a higher power, but subsequently forgot that information when they returned to this level.
This was not the case with me. In my OBE, although I was taken into the Light of Heaven, in a true sense I have not ever left the Light altogether. Its presence, its influence, remains with me to this day. I still receive knowledge that is inherent to that place. In a certain extraordinary way the Light has become a reference facility, a cosmic library, from which I have been able to glean transcendent information. The process involves my mind traveling to that place and after a period of time (ranging from a minute to a week or two) the solution to the matter that I am attempting to resolve usually materializes. Sometimes this occurs during sleep, and I awaken and note what I receive. For the most part, the information is received as a flash of recognition. I perceive a visual picture of what I am seeking.
I explain in A New World View how consciousness, which William James remarked, is “the absolute world enigma,” emerges from neuronal flashing; the mystery of time and light, are also addressed the book. Transcendent matters, such as placing infinity in perspective, and our relationship with the Creator, are also addressed, using logic and modern day science.

Question --perhaps for discussion. When trying to tell our story [NDE] I have heard "What makes you think you are so special?". This has/had NOTHING to do with what telling even part of the story was about. In trying to share the love, we/I [in the past] was ridiculed. I am so grateful for discovering IANDS Group, and really see the expansion in this area by the group we will form. It is beautiful here, and we are all --just beginning! Isn't that wonderful to know we are all --on major breakthroughs. Perhaps this is what 2012 is all about --that NEW Beginning with higher consciousness and awareness of love shared by all. Rose
